What we keep, and why.
Short version: when you tell us you want to help on the Pitch In page, we hold on to enough of your details to come back to you about it. That’s the whole job.
Who is asking
Kisasa FC, a community football club based in Nairobi, Kenya. If you want to talk to a human about any of this, write to info@kisasa.football. One of us will read it.
What we collect
When you commit to a card on the Pitch In page, the form takes your name, email, phone number, and an organisation if you share one. The site also notes the IP address you submitted from and your browser’s user-agent string, which is the standard line a browser sends with every request. That’s it. No analytics. No third-party trackers. No cookies beyond the basic WordPress session cookie that lets the site work.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019, two things give us the basis to keep your details: your consent (you submitted the form yourself) and our legitimate interest in getting back to you about the support you offered. Nothing more clever than that.
Who sees it
Right now, one person, the club’s admin. As the club grows, the circle of staff who can read submissions will grow too, but it stays inside Kisasa FC. We don’t sell, rent, or pass your details to anyone else.
How long we keep it
Your name, email, phone, and organisation stay on file for as long as we need them to action your commitment and keep an honest record of it. We are working towards a 90-day automatic purge of IP and browser metadata once a commitment is closed out, since neither of those is needed long-term.
The anonymity tick-box
If you tick Keep me anonymous on the record, your name will not appear on any public list of supporters we may publish in future. Our staff will still see your name internally so we can confirm your commitment with you.
Asking us to delete it
Email info@kisasa.football and say so. We’ll remove your details from our records and confirm back to you when it’s done.
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we will update this page and date the change here.
